Maintenance

We can lift your vessel, renew the anti-fouling, replace anodes, service the engine, polish the hull and launch back in the water again. We pride ourselves on customer service because, as boat owners ourselves, we understand the peace of mind that comes through knowing you vessel is in safe hands. Teak decking can be restored or replaced in our boat sheds. Possibly the most powerful and long-lasting antifouling available, Copper coat's hard-wearing copper-filled epoxy coating is successfully protecting tens of thousands of boats the world over, with many users having enjoyed more than 15 years of continual protection from a single treatment.

Painting and Varnishing

Modern high-performance coatings deliver outstanding results when applied correctly, but many demand precise temperature and humidity monitoring. Whether restoring a classic wooden boat or finishing a modern composite racer, our climate-controlled facilities provide the perfect environment for painting and varnishing your boat. Our team work with manufacturers and distributors sharing advice and experience. The products we use include: Awlgrip, Nautix, Epifanes, International Paints, Hempel, Veneziani Yachting and Coppercoat.

Fabrication and Engineering

Our Newhaven East Quay boatyard offers a full range of marine engineering services, including machine shop and stainless steel fabrication. We also have lots of sheltered, undercover space, so the works can progress uninterrupted by the weather.

Refit

Sussex Yachts can provide a full refit consultation service, helping you to prioritise the work list, sourcing materials and components, planning the work programme, and helping you to budget where there may be unforeseen costs. We can project manage the whole of your refit programme personally and will not outsource or sub-contract any aspect that may affect the quality of the service we deliver. Our team of shipwrights and marine engineers work together to ensure smooth running of your project. GRP repairs, wood work, electronics and mechanical marine engineering all under one roof and more importantly one company.

Osmosis

Sussex Yachts has built its reputation for high-quality osmosis treatment by working closely with owners, surveyors and insurers. Our Newhaven East Quay boatyard includes the largest climate-controlled facilities in the South East, where we can ensure the perfect conditions for treating osmosis and applying preventative epoxy coatings.
